Ireland - Giant participation in primary school |

Situated in Limerick City in the West of Ireland, Scoil-Ide is the largest Primary School in the city with over 800 pupils.
Every year for the last 13 years, the school has run an in-house Chess tournament, and this year over 200 players took part, probably setting an Irish record for the largest in-house school tournament.
We wonder how many primary schools around the world can match a 25% participation rate in an internal school tournament. What is the largest that you know of?
Our thanks to John Alfred who has provided a fine illustrated report that you can download here.
