Docentes de Ajedrez (Level 1) + School Instructor title
Seminar, Batumi, 24-27 September

The Spanish Chess Federation (FEDA), and the International Chess Federation (FIDE) in collaboration with the Technical Committee of Monitors and Coaches (CTMYE) and the support of the Sports Council (CSD), as well as with the support of The Georgian Federation of Chess, in its commitment to bring chess to the entire educational community, has developed this Course for Docentes + School Instructor.

Chess, as a multitude of studies have reflected, can be an educational tool of the first order. Empathy, socialization, respect for an adversary, concentration and decision-making are some of the aspects that help the work and the behavioural repertoire of students.

The role of the teacher in the process of training young people represents a cardinal axis where different actors will influence future generations. The experiences in different territories of the Spanish state, where chess has been used well by the teaching staff, or by monitors trained in concepts of teaching and pedagogy, has shown a path full of hope.

The course includes the basic knowledge that allows the teacher to organize a chess course in their classroom with the guarantees of a syllabus prepared by game-science professionals and psychologists and pedagogues with extensive teaching experience.

The successful student obtains two degrees, one of the FEDA with the support of the CSD and another of FIDE (the School Instructor title). Information about this title can be seen in the following link as well as the many courses in this new modality carried out in Latin America and Spain
