Our Chess in Schools - Our Global Future promotional booklet has a couple of pages devoted to sponsors and sponsorshhip.

Sponsors like to see returns. Just take a look at the number of 'page views' that Rosneft got from their sponsorship.

Looking for local sponsors in your own country? Our simple guide to sponsorship is part of the CiS Handbook (click the Documents link on the left). Even if you don't understand Slovenian, you may find their sponsorship leaflet gives you some useful ideas as well (it's easy to understand the ideas behind the various headings). [update 2012.0804]

We are pleased to welcome our first ever global sponsor of CiS. Rosneft, 75% state owned, is the leader of Russia’s petroleum industry, and ranks among the world’s top publicly traded oil and gas companies. The Company is primarily engaged in exploration and production of hydrocarbons, production of petroleum products and petrochemicals, and marketing of outputs.

Rosneft and World Chess Federation Sign Partnership Agreement for Chess in Schools Programme

Under the agreement, Rosneft will be involved in World Chess Federation international educational projects to encourage children and teenagers to play chess. Cooperation envisages seminars and training sessions in schools, as well as educational conferences. Rosneft will focus on providing comprehensive support for young Russian chess players.

Rosneft's involvement in the Chess in Schools programme demonstrates the Company's commitment to international social responsibility standards and specifically to supporting Russian and international educational programmes.

You can read more about Rosneft here .

Please let us know of any major sponsors of chess in schools activities in individual countries around the world. The only one we are aware of:
